Commonly called Concierge Medicine, 'retainer based medicine' is a new way of practicing medicine where patients pay an annual or monthly fee to guarantee a level of care that is impossible to get in a traditional medicalpractice. Commonly offered services in this type of medical practice include next day appointments, no waiting at the clinic, comprehensive annual physical exams, access to your personal physician, longer appointmentsand more. Although the concept is relatively new, it is growing in popularity as more and more patients and doctors are growing increasingly frustrated with the current healthcare system in America.

Most primary care physicians are able to do an excellent job caring for their patients when they first start practice. As they become busier, and their patient panel exceeds a few thousand, they become overworked to the point of becoming mediocre performers. It becomes increasingly difficult for you to contact your physician. Even if you do, they will probably not be able to care for you when you need them most - when you are sick or hospitalized. It takes weeks to months to get an appointment to see your physician. With our model, we are always able to cater to your needs as we have already set a maximum patient panel for our physicians, thus optimizing their availability to you.

A traditional medical practice typically requires a doctor to service thousands of patients in order to remain profitable. It is not uncommon for doctors in a traditional medical practice to see 50-60 patients a day! The doctor has barely a few minutes to spare for each patient, making it difficult to provide quality care to every patient. Because of this fast paced environment, patients have to wait a long time not only to get appointments, but also at the doctor's office when they come in. MyDoctor is a retainer based practice that provides each patient with their personal physician and each physician limits their patient panel. This way, each patient has better access to their personal physician. This design not only allows for better access and minimized waiting, but also allows the patient to spend quality time with 'their' physician and receive the highest level of care. The physicians finally have the time to get to know each patient and practice medicine the way they had envisioned; being a personal health advisor in addition to treating a patient's symptoms.

Most concierge medicine practices charge an up-front annual fee ranging from $2,000 to $4,000 and offer annual contracts. At MyDoctor, we feel that coming up with a large sum of money up-front is difficult for most people. We offer monthly memberships and have two levels of service to accommodate individual budgets. You also get to choose your own personal, or family, doctor. You can then rest assured, knowing that whenever you come in for an appointment, you will see 'your' doctor. This is especially true when you are sick or in urgent need of medical attention. In addition, we also offer a host of value-added services that are designed to improve your overall health and wellness. Please see our Representative Benefits Chart for a complete list of services you can expect from us.

The membership fees allows us to do just that, so we can give you the quality of care you deserve, access to your physician when you need and provide you with value-added services designed to improve you overall health and well being.
